DFM update is still in a No-Go state, but the big news is that that the programmers think they have squashed all of the bugs.
All that remains is for the testers to give everything a run through and thorough workout.

DFM has been delayed by a couple of Deal Breaker ‘Blockers’ and a dozen or so Critical errors.

The Work Continues

Well it’s all slowly coming together.
Teamspeak has had some more work done to the permission system and Channel Commander is functional now.

Website has had About Usand Affiliates page added.
Teamspeak Server tracking has been added to the main webpage.
Links have been added to all the relevant Convoy sites.

Forums have continued to be fleshed out as well as further changes to the Theme & Style.
Custom links have been added for easy navigation back to RSI & this webpage as well as Direct Teamspeak links.
The Forums have also had Ajax Chat added to it with permissions taken from the Forum permission system.
Forums have had an Adults only area added to it which you will need to opt in for, if you see something you don’t like after you have opted in…..you were warned 😉

Star Citizen – Continues it’s push with PBR

PBR (Physical Based Rendering)

Simply, PBR adds simulated real world light values to surfaces, so textures and surface types count.
Shine a light onto a piece of anodised Aluminium and watch that surface effect the rubber hose next to it.
Instead of going down the traditional path where photo realism is achieved by graphic artists lighting objects from apparently nowhere to get a decent result, PBR lights the scene as it would be in real life, or at least closely simulates it.
Different textures & surfaces on an object will now independently change how an object looks, make a teapot out of rubber and the light dispersal will be flat, make the teapot of of Chrome and the dispersed light will move realistically.
This allows texture layers for things like dust, rust, cracking, damage, water ...
